I knew that I needed to do something big for the next blog. What better than something you can see for miles. Something that lights up the Orlando night. Something that everyone sees from I4... but not many seem to take the time to do. That's right.... I did the Slingshot at Magical Midway!
Strapped down in a volcano. The adrenalin rush is building. I begin to wonder... Why am I doing this? Am I strapped in all the way? I begin to tilt back. When will I be released? AM I STRAPPED IN ALL THE WAY??? Then all of a sudden... AHHHHHH. My stomach dropping. Laughing. Screaming. Feeling alive. Flipping near the top a few times. Then realizing what I just did... calming down and taking in the breathtaking view of Orlando. Phenomenal.
For $25 you get shot up towards the clouds.... over 390 feet! You will flip a couple of times while you're up there... so I suggest eating after. I loved it so much.... I went two more times. Each extra ride is just $10.
The only choice you really need to make is whether you want to see Orlando during the day or at night. Both views are amazing. It is really a win-win either way.
Next time you have plans over on I-drive... I suggest taking a detour before going home and soaring towards the heavens.
